SUBJECT:	Resolutions approving Recommended Budget
Recommendation
Adopt two resolutions approving the Recommended Budget for Fiscal Year 2002-03 and extending the date for final budget adoption on a permanent basis.
Background and Discussion
Your Board conducted public hearings for the Fiscal Year 2002-03 and 2003-04 Recommended Budget during June 24-26, 2002. It is necessary to adopt resolutions approving the Recommended Budget for FY 2002-03 to enable County departments to make expenditures, including fixed asset purchases, beginning July 1st and to extend the date for Final Budget adoption until October 2, 2002, as allowed in Stated law.
