HEALTH SERVICES

34.   1)   Resolution authorizing grant funding from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Adolescent Pregnancy/Office of Population Affairs (DHHS OAPP/OPA) to support an expanded Adolescent Family Life Demonstration Project serving pregnant and parenting teens, their partners, and their at-risk younger siblings, for an additional five years

2)   Introduction of an ordinance amending the salary ordinance, adding four positions to the Public and Mental Health Departments and waiver of reading the ordinance in its entirety

3)   Authorize a transfer recognizing revenue of $243,833 in Public Health and making an appropriation of $54,395 in Mental Health for a total of $298,228

35.   Resolution authorizing agreement with the State Department of Mental Health for services for people affected by AIDS for term of July 1, 2001 through January 30, 2001, no net County cost

36.   1)   Resolution authorizing submission of applications to the State Department of Mental Health for federal block grant funds from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) and for Project for Assistance in Transition from Homelessness (PATH) funds

2)   Introduction of an ordinance amending the salary ordinance adding two positions and waiver of reading the ordinance in its entirety

3)   Authorize a transfer in the amount of $202,184 to receive new SAMHSA funding and increase the budget to implement new programs

37.   Resolution waiving the Request for Proposals process and authorizing the agreement with the City of Daly City for maintenance services at the North County Health Center for a term of June 1, 2000 through May 31, 2002 in the amount of $355,992

38.   Resolution authorizing San Mateo County Health Center to increase the salary for Extra-Help Registered Nurses to remain competitive with other hospitals from $30 - $32 to $32 - $42

39.   Approve a transfer in the amount of $55,000 from Salary and Benefits to Fixed Assets Equipment to fund the purchase of various respiratory therapy equipment

40.   Introduction of an ordinance amending the salary ordinance to add one full time classified Information Technology Analyst position, and waiver of reading the ordinance in its entirety

41.   Adoption of ordinance approving an amendment to the salary ordinance adding one full-time, classified Community Worker to provide case management health services to pregnant and parenting teenagers, and waiver of reading the ordinance in its entirety

42.   Adoption of an ordinance approving an amendment to the salary ordinance adding sixteen unclassified positions to the Methadone Clinic's budget, and waiver of reading the ordinance in its entirety

HUMAN SERVICES AGENCY

43.   1)   Resolution authorizing:

a)    Acceptance of a grant from the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) for targeted capacity expansion: alcohol and drug treatment for Coastside residents in the amount of $913,476 for the period of September 30, 2000 through September 29, 2003

b)    Waiver of the Request for Proposals Process and authorize Alcohol and Drug Services to initiate contracts with the service providers in the grant proposal

2)    Approve a transfer to add funding for the coastside alcohol and drug treatment expansion services from the federal (DHHS)

44.   Resolution authorizing:

1)   Agreement with El Centro de Libertad for the provision of non-residential alcohol and drug treatment services for Coastside residents from September 30, 2000 to September 29, 2003

2)   The Director of Human Services Agency to execute amendments and minor modifications during the term of the agreement

45.   Resolution authorizing an agreement with Mateo Lodge, Inc. for the acquisition of real property to provide affordable housing for lower income clients of the Mental Health Division of the County

46.   Resolution authorizing agreement with MHN Services for Driving Under the Influence services for the period of July 1, 2000 through June 30, 2002, no net County cost

47.   Resolution authorizing an agreement with Peninsula Community Foundation to oversee Year Five Implementation for the Promoting of Safe and Stable Families (PSSF) from October 1, 2000 to September 30, 2001, no net County cost

PUBLIC WORKS

48.   Resolution authorizing a new Agency-State Master Agreement with the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) to become eligible to receive Federal and/or State funding for certain transportation projects

49.   Resolution accepting an offer of dedication of a sewer main constructed by Dr. Lloyd A. and Mrs. Margaret A. Kwok to the Burlingame Hills Sewer Maintenance District

50.   Introduction of an ordinance reducing the speed limit from 30 miles per hour to 25 mph on Hillside Drive, County Road No. 13A, and waiver of reading the ordinance in its entirety
