EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: Consideration of a request to rescind an existing agricultural preserve contract and simultaneously enter a new agricultural preserve contract to reflect a change in legal descriptions for a 77.6-acre parcel located at 9699 Alpine Road in the unincorporated La Honda area of the County.
RECOMMENDATION | ||
Adopt a resolution to rescind the existing agricultural preserve contract and simultaneously approve and authorize execution of a new agricultural preserve contract to reflect a change in legal descriptions regarding the subject property.
PROPOSAL | ||
Earlier this year, the Board of Supervisors approved a minor subdivision of the applicants' 77.6-acre parcel in the Resource Management District with a condition that the applicants revise their Class A agricultural preserve contract to include the new legal descriptions. This requires rescission of the old contract and entering a new contract with the changed legal descriptions.
SUMMARY | ||
A Class A agricultural preserve contract was established for the subject property on February 15, 1977, and has been automatically renewed until present day. On January 9, 2001, Board of Supervisors approved a Minor Subdivision of this 77.6-acre parcel into two parcels consisting of 39.3 acres and 38.3 acres. One of the conditions of approval required an update of the Class A agricultural preserve contract (Williamson Act contract) to include new legal descriptions resulting from the minor subdivision. This is a housekeeping measure to keep the County's Williamson Act Contracts updated with land use development associated with these contracts.
