During the past year you have approved responses to Recommendations 1.1 and 1.2 relating to Commodity Procurement Practices, Recommendations 3.4 and 3.5 relating to the Release on Own Recognizance Program and Recommendation 4.4 relating to annual funding to the Grand Jury for the purpose of obtaining separate counsel when investigating an entity or district represented by County Counsel. You have also approved responses from County departments for continuation items from the 1999 Grand Jury. I am pleased to present to you this update, which includes one hold over item from the 1999 Grand Jury regarding the Hall of Justice Seismic Retrofit Project and the County's responses to the FY 2000-01 Grand Jury report. You will continue to receive quarterly updates on the progress of implementing any recommendations requiring ongoing or further action from the 1999 and 2000-01 recommendations.
