RESOLUTION DIRECTING STAFF TO SUBMIT TO THE CALIFORNIA

COASTAL COMMISSION A SET OF LOCAL COASTAL PROGRAM (LCP)

ZONING AMENDMENTS ESTABLISHING

CONFINED ANIMAL REGULATIONS

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that:

 

WHEREAS, on May 23, June 13, August 8, and September 12, 2001, the San Mateo County Planning Commission held public hearings to consider the proposed LCP zoning amendments that establish the Confined Animal Regulations; and

 

WHEREAS, on November 6, 2001, the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors held a public hearing to consider the proposed confined animal LCP zoning amendments; and

 

WHEREAS, on November 6, 2001, the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors approved the proposed confined animal LCP zoning amendments; and

 

WHEREAS, maximum opportunity for public participation at the Planning Commission and Board of Supervisors' hearings was provided through: (1) publication of the meeting announcement in the San Mateo County Times newspaper, and (2) direct mailing of meeting announcements to all project participants; and

 

WHEREAS, at all public hearings, all interested parties were afforded the opportunity to be heard.

 
 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors direct staff to submit the Local Coastal Program zoning amendments regulating confined animals to the Coastal Commission for certification of conformity with the California Coastal Act.
