Second Amendment to Lease with Mantoani Properties for the Agricultural/Weights and Measures Division Office in Half Moon Bay (Lease No. 1196)

Recommendation
Adopt a Resolution authorizing the President of the Board of Supervisors to execute a Second Amendment to Lease with Mantoani Properties to retroactively extend the term of the agreement.
|

Background
The Agricultural/Weights and Measures Division's Coastside Field Office has been located at 785 Main Street in Half Moon Bay since 1994. This lease expired on November 30, 2001. The Environmental Services Agency desires to extend the term of the agreement.

Discussion
The Second Amendment presented for your consideration extends the term of the lease to May 31, 2002 and increases the monthly rent by four percent from $1,487.00 to $1,546.48.
The Director of the Environmental Services Agency concurs with our recommendation. County Counsel has reviewed and approved the Second Amendment to Lease as to form.

The Environmental Services Agency has sufficient money budgeted for the current fiscal year.
