BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA

RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CHIEF ELECTIONS OFFICER TO RENDER SPECIFIED ELECTION SERVICES FOR THE CITY OF EAST PALO ALTO, REDWOOD CITY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL DISTRICT, AND THE CABRILLO UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE GUBERNATORIAL PRIMARY ELECTION TO BE HELD ON TUESDAY, MARCH 5, 2002.

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

 

WHEREAS, pursuant to the California Government Code and California Elections Code, the City of East Palo Alto adopted Resolution No. 1946 calling for the submission of an Ordinance measure to the voters of the City of East Palo Alto; and;

 

WHEREAS, pursuant to the California Government Code, California Education Code, and California Elections Code, the Governing Body of the Redwood City Elementary School District adopted Resolution No. 5 calling for the submission of a school bond measure to the voters of the Redwood City Elementary School District; and;

 

WHEREAS, pursuant to the California Government Code, California Education Code, and California Elections Code, the Governing Body of the Cabrillo Unified School District adopted Resolution No. 22-01 calling for the submission of a special tax measure to the voters of the Cabrillo Unified School District; and;

 

WHEREAS, the Chief Elections Officer has been asked to perform certain services in conjunction with these elections; and;

 

WHEREAS, the Chief Elections Officer is agreeable to providing these election services to the Cities and School Districts; and

 

WHEREAS, in consideration of services and supplies provided by the Chief Elections Officer, the City of East Palo Alto, Redwood City Elementary School District, and the Cabrillo Unified School District will reimburse the County for the costs of these services and supplies;

 

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of this Board of Supervisors authorizes the Chief Elections Officer to render specified election services for the March 5, 2002 Gubernatorial Primary Election.
