BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA

RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF OMNIBUS ENGINEERING AGREEMENTS WITH EIGHT (8) ENGINEERING FIRMS TO PROVIDE ENGINEERING SERVICES ON AN AS-NEEDED BASIS

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of County is authorized to engage the services of professional technical experts on a temporary basis for specific projects; and

WHEREAS, the public interest and general welfare will be served by selecting and utilizing engineering consultants for various engineering services as deemed necessary by the County; and

WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works has recommended that consultants be retained to perform various engineering services to supplement staff as the need arises; and

WHEREAS, the firms of BKF Engineers, Harris & Associates, Kleinfelder, Korve Engineering, Mark Thomas, Sandis Humber Jones, Wilsey Ham, and Winzler & Kelly are civil engineering firms qualified to perform engineering services on a variety of projects as may be assigned at a future time by Task Orders issued from the Director of Public Works; and

WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Board forms of agreements that provide for the retention of engineering firms to perform engineering services as the need arises and this Board has reviewed and considered said agreements.

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED as follows:

1.

That BKF Engineers, Harris & Associates, Kleinfelder, Korve, Mark Thomas, Sandis Humber Jones, Wilsey Ham, and Winzler & Kelly be retained to provide engineering services under the direction of the Director of Public Works when and if said services are needed as determined by the Director of Public Works.

2.

That the President of this Board of Supervisors be, and is hereby, authorized and directed to execute said agreements on and in behalf of San Mateo County and the Clerk of the Board shall attest to the Presidents' signature thereto.
