Resolution Authorizing the Director of Public Works to Install Bollards Behind the Sidewalk on the East Side of Middlefield Road between 7th and 8th Avenues in the Redwood City Area

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that
|
|
|
WHEREAS, this Board authorized the Middlefield Road Improvement Project which included installation of wider sidewalks, street lights, street trees and the placement of utilities underground; and
|
|
|
WHEREAS, the improvements have recently been completed; and
|
|
|
WHEREAS, the North Fair Oaks Council (Council) and the Department of Public Works have recommended that facilities be provided to prevent motorists from parking on the sidewalk on the east side of Middlefield Road between 7th and 8th Avenues; and
|
|
|
WHEREAS, this Board has considered the recommendation of the North Fair Oaks Council and the Director of Public Works.
|
|
|
NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the Director of Public is authorized to:
|
|
|
|
|
proceed with the installation of bollards on the east side of Middlefield Road between 7th and 8th Avenues to protect the sidewalk; and
|
|
|
2.
|
use funds of County Service Area No. 8 to pay for the acquisition and installation of said bollards, and for any subsequent maintenance or replacement of said facilities.
