RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF NINTH AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT WITH CALIFORNIA CHECK CASHING STORES, INC.

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, on December 17, 1991, the County of San Mateo and Monetary Management Corp. entered into an agreement for the issuance of food stamps, which agreement has been amended on eight previous occasions, including extension of the contract term, increase of the "per transaction fee," corresponding increases in the contract maximum obligation, and assignment to different businesses, most recently California Check Cashing Stores, Inc., and

WHEREAS, because most recent amendment (December 19, 2000,) increased the "per transaction fee" but inadvertently omitted the corresponding increase in the contract maximum, and the parties now wish to further amend the agreement to: 1) correct that omission and 2) bring the agreement into compliance with recently enacted county non-discrimination procedures; and;

WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with a form of such Amendment to the Agreement and said Board having examined and approved the amendment as to form and content, and desires to enter into the amended agreement;

THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED THAT the President of this Board of Supervisors be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to execute the Amendment to the Agreement for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest his signature thereto.
