RESOLUTION REPEALING RESOLUTION 64205 AND AMENDING RESOLUTION 63358 TO INCREASE THE TRANSPORTATION ALLOWANCE FOR THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS , ELECTED OFFICIALS, DEPARTMENT HEADS AND DESIGNATED MANAGEMENT PERSONNEL

WHEREAS, the benefits for the Board of Supervisors, elected officials, department heads and designated management personnel have included a transportation allowance; and

WHEREAS, it is necessary to increase the maximum amount of the transportation allowance to ensure it remains commensurate with the costs of travel; and

WHEREAS, the Board by Resolution No. 64205 had previously set the transportation allowance at $280 per bi-weekly pay period;

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that paragraph 14 of resolution No. 63358, Resolution Expressing the Salary and Benefits of Unrepresented Management Personnel of the County of San Mateo, is amended to change the maximum transportation allowance to $300 effective January 6, 2002 and that Resolution 64205 adopted on January 30, 2001 previously setting the transportation rate is repealed.
