RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION TO THE OFFICE OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE PLANNING FOR THE DISTRICT ATTORNEY PROGRAM FOR THE VICTIM/WITNESS ASSISTANCE PROGRAM ADMINISTERED BY THE OFFICE OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE PLANNING

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, the County of San Mateo desires to undertake a certain project designated the San Mateo County Victim/Witness Assistance Program to be funded from funds made available through the California Victim/Witness Assistance Program administered by the Office of Criminal Justice Planning (hereafter referred to as OCJP).

WHEREAS, it is agreed that any liability arising out of the performance of this Grant Award Agreement, including civil court actions for damages, shall be the responsibility of the grant recipient and the authorizing agency. The State of California and OCJP disclaim responsibility for any such liability.

WHEREAS, it is resolved that the applicant agrees to provide all matching funds (or "In-Kind Match") required for said project (including any extension or amendment thereof), under the program and the funding terms and conditions of OCJP, that the match will be appropriate as required and that grant funds received hereunder shall not be used to supplant expenditures controlled by this body.

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED as follows: that the President of this Board of Supervisors hereby authorizes the District Attorney of the County of San Mateo to submit the proposal to OCJP and is authorized to execute, on behalf of the County of San Mateo, the Grant Award Agreement including any extensions or amendments thereof.
