Adopt a resolution adopting plans and specifications, determining prevailing wage scales, and calling for sealed proposals for the reconstruction/resurfacing of the portion of South Airport Boulevard that lies within the unincorporated area generally from San Bruno Avenue East to the South San Francisco City limits. |

Authorized an application for Federal Surface Transportation Program (STP) funds to partially finance this reconstruction/resurfacing project. |

Discussion |

The San Mateo County Planning Department has determined that this project is exempt from the requirements for preparation of an EIR under Section 15301(C) Class 1, of the California Environmental Quality Act and we have filed a Notice of Exemption with the County Clerk. |

Caltrans, which administers the Federal funding, has authorized us to proceed with advertising for bids for the work. |
Vision Alignment |
We believe our recommendation is consistent with Goal Number 7, "Maintain and Enhance the Public Safety of all Residents and Visitors" of the Shared Vision Commitment to "Ensure Basic Health and Safety for All," as the project helps to preserve a road which is a part of the integrated (state/county/city) public road system. |
