RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF FIRST AMENDMENTS TO TWELVE FEE-FOR-SERVICE AGREEMENTS WITH VARIOUS ALCOHOL AND DRUG TREATMENT SERVICE PROVIDERS

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

 

WHEREAS, on August 7, 2001 the County of San Mateo entered into fee-for-service agreements with various alcohol and drug treatment providers for the provision of substance abuse treatment for Substance Abuse and Crime Prevention (SACPA) probationers and parolees, and drug court eligible individuals; and

 

WHEREAS, on October 11, 2001 SB 223 was signed into law which appropriates funding to counties for the costs of substance abuse testing under SACPA of 2000, to be used for substance abuse testing of SACPA probationers and parolees; and

 

WHEREAS, it is now the mutual desire and intent of the parties to amend the Agreements with: 1) Asian American Recovery Services; 2) Avalon Counseling Services; 3) El Centro de Libertad; 4) Free At Last; 5) The Latino Commission on Alcohol and Drug Abuse of San Mateo County; 6) Project Ninety, Inc.; 7) Pyramid Alternatives; 8) Recovery Concepts; 9) Service League of San Mateo County; 10) Sitike Counseling Center; 11) Walden House; and 12) The Women's Recovery Association; and

 

WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with forms of the first amendments to the twelve fee-for-service agreements and has examined and approved them as to both form and content and desires to enter into said first amendments to the twelve fee-for-service agreements:

 

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of this Board of Supervisors be, and is hereby authorized and directed to execute said first amendments to the twelve fee-for-service agreements for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President's signature thereto.
