BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT WITH THE SPHERE INSTITUTE FOR CONSULTING SERVICES FOR THE OUTCOME BASED MANAGEMENT AND BUDGETING IMPLEMENTATION PROJECT AND WAIVING THE REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL PROCESS

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, the parties wish to enter into an agreement to provide services in connection with the Outcome Based Management and Budgeting (OBM) Implementation Project in the amount of $249,896;

WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Board of Supervisors for its consideration and acceptance, an agreement between the County of San Mateo and the SPHERE Institute, reference to which is hereby made for further particulars; and;

WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Board of Supervisors for its consideration and approval a request to waive the Request for Proposal process for said services in order to collect and report data for the OBM Headline Measures by the August 2002 deadline; and;

WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with a form of the Agreement and has examined and approved it as to both form and content and desires to enter into said Agreement;

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that (1) the President of the Board of Supervisors is hereby authorized and directed to execute said agreement with the SPHERE Institute, for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President's signature thereto; (2) the request for proposal process is waived.
