Resolution Setting a Time and Place of a Public Hearing to Consider an Agreement to Upgrade Building Lighting and Mechanical Systems, the Costs of Which Can Be Offset by Energy Savings |

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that |

WHEREAS, this Board of Supervisors in 1995, approved the County's participation in the Federal Environmental Protection Agency's Green Lights Program, a program to improve the energy efficiency of buildings; and |
|
WHEREAS, Invensys Building Systems provides performance based services which calculates energy savings that can be used to finance the replacement of less energy efficient lighting and building mechanical systems; and |
|
WHEREAS, Invensys has performed a detailed inspection and analysis of specific County facilities and has recommended projects to install energy conservation related equipment and improve building lighting and mechanical systems; and |
|
WHEREAS, it is expected that the cumulative project cost, $2,067,389, will be recovered through energy savings over a ten (10) year period; and |
|
WHEREAS, Section 4217.10 et sec. of the State of California Government Code provides that a governmental agency may enter into an agreement to install energy saving systems after considering said agreement during a regularly scheduled public hearing; and |
|
WHEREAS, this Board wishes to consider such an agreement. |

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that

This Board will conduct a public hearing during its regular scheduled meeting on March 19th at 9:30 a.m. in the Board's Chambers in the Hall of Justice and Records at 400 County Center, Redwood City, California, to consider an agreement to install energy saving systems in County Facilities; and |
|
|
The Director of Public Works shall cause notice of said public hearing to be published once in the Independent Newspaper Group, a newspaper of general circulation. |
