RESOLUTION CREATING THE GENERAL PLAN HOUSING ELEMENT
TASK FORCE SPECIFYING THE RESPONSIBILITIES AND MEMBERSHIP THEREOF, AND STANDING RULES FOR ITS GOVERNANCE

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that:

 

WHEREAS, this Board of Supervisors wishes to create a General Plan Housing Element Task Force, whose purpose is to act as an advisory committee to the Board of Supervisors regarding the update of the County's General Plan Housing Element.

 

    NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED as follows:

 

1.

There is hereby created the General Plan Housing Element Task Force, whose purpose is to act as an advisory committee to the Board of Supervisors regarding the update of the County's General Plan Housing Element. The Task Force expires on April 1, 2003.

   

2.

Subject to the membership criteria set forth herein, the members of the General Plan Housing Element Task Force shall be appointed by the Board of Supervisors.

   

3.

Members shall each serve one term, which shall expire upon the expiration of the Task Force.

   

4.

The membership shall include a total of seventeen (17) members, to be composed as follows:

Board of Supervisors (two members); and

 

Representatives (one each) of the following organizations:

Committee for Green Foothills

 

C.

Landlord/Tenant Collaborative

 

D.

Tri-County Apartment Association

 

E.

Building and Construction Trades Council

 

F.

Homebuilders Association of Northern California

 

G.

Mid-Peninsula Housing Coalition

 

H.

Peninsula Interfaith Action

 

I.

Housing Leadership Council

 

J.

Peninsula Habitat for Humanity

 

K.

Shelter Network

 

L.

Center for the Independence of the Disabled (CID)

 

M.

AARP

 

N.

SAMCEDA

 

O.

Redwood City/San Mateo County Chamber of Commerce

 

P.

SAMCAR

     

5.

The above organizations may designate nominees to serve on the General Plan Housing Element Task Force, but such nominations shall not be final until approved by the Board of Supervisors.

   

6.

The General Plan Housing Element Task Force will comply with all standing rules for County boards, commissions and advisory committees that are established by the Board of Supervisors.

   

7.

The General Plan Housing Element Task Force shall be staffed by the Environmental Services Agency, Planning and Building Division and the Human Services Agency, Office of Housing.
