Background |
On October 2, 2001, the Board of Supervisors approved Resolution No. 64828 awarding a contract to Turner Construction Company in the amount of $1,037,404.00 for construction management of Phase 5C, '54 Building Remodel, of the San Mateo County Health Center Additions and Renovations Project. The County is responsible only for changes initiated by the County or caused by unforeseeable circumstances; the trade contractors or Turner are responsible for other costs. |

Discussion |
The first three revision orders amended the original Turner contract to include trade contracts, clock system, and removal of x-ray equipment. Revision Order 4 includes Bid Package 13 - Graphics; upgrade of 26 PBX alarms; chilled water system improvements; emergency power design and revisions; relocation of data/power for pleion systems; door and cardkey revisions; deletion of a window; and relocation of a corridor wall. |

Vision Alignment |
This revision order to the contract with Turner Construction keeps the commitment of Ensuring Basic Health and Safety for All and goal number 5: Residents have access to healthcare and preventive care. This contract revision order contributes to this commitment and goal by continuing the remodeling and renovation of the San Mateo County Health Center. |

The project is funded by the sale of Lease Revenue Bonds, 1994 Series A. Funds are available in the project account to pay for this Revision Order. |
