RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES TO RECOMMEND SAN MATEO COUNTY AS A SITE FOR THE 2002 FEDERAL CHILD AND FAMILY SERVICES REVIEW

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that the California Department of Social Services Recommend San Mateo County as a Site for the 2002 Federal Child and Family Services Review

WHEREAS, the federal government has undertaken a process for reviewing Child Welfare Services performance in 50 states, known as the Child and Family Services Review;

WHEREAS, the State of California will be reviewed in September, 2002, in three sites, including Los Angeles;

WHEREAS, because of its good performance San Mateo County has been chosen for recommendation to the federal government as one of the two remaining counties for on site review;

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the California Department of Social Services is authorized to submit the name of San Mateo County to the federal government as a recommended county site for the Child and Family Service Review.
