RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT WITH FAMILY SERVICE AGENCY FOR THE ADMINISTRATION OF THE FAMILY LOAN PROGRAM

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, on June 19, 2001 the Board adopted resolution # 64575 authorizing the Human Services Agency to enter into an agreement with the Family Service Agency for the provision of the Family Loan Program, Product B; and;

WHEREAS, this agreement expired September 30, 2001 and the program has now been revised; and;

WHEREAS, the Family Loan Program offers families a low interest loan alternative to pay unexpected expenses; and;

WHEREAS, this program has been successful in reducing time missed from work, reducing time in transit to work, increasing attendance in job related education and an average increase in monthly wages for program participants; and;

WHEREAS this Board has been presented with a form of an Agreement for the administration of the revised program and said Board having examined and approved the Agreement as to form and content, and desires to enter into the agreement;

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED the President of this Board of Supervisors be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to execute the this Agreement for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest his signature thereto.
