2.

We have received a grant made available through the Federal Surface Transportation Program to partially finance the project.

128 So. Maple Avenue

South San Francisco, CA 94080

at $185,607.50, was the lowest bid received.

The Engineer's estimate was $300,000. A summary of the bids received is as follows:

4.

Bauman Landscaping, Inc.

5.

Vision Alignment

We believe our recommendation is consistent with Goal Number 7, "Maintain and Enhance the Public Safety of all Residents and Visitors" of the Shared Vision Commitment to "Ensure Basic Health and Safety for All," as the project helps to preserve a road which is a part of the integrated (state/county/city) public road system.

Fiscal Impact

The total overall estimated cost of this project, including construction and contingencies is $204,000.00, which includes a ten percent (10%) contingency as the work is bid on a unit price basis (i.e., ton of asphalt placed, square yard of pavement repair, etc.). The contingency is used to pay the contractor for any additional material placed as the actual tonnage used depends on the unit weight of the asphalt and the tolerances for the actual thickness of the pavement placed.

There is no impact to the General Fund.
