BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA

RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD TO ACCEPT TWO GRANTS FROM THE PENINSULA COMMUNITY FOUNDATION IN THE AMOUNT OF $15,000 AND $150,000 FOR THE PRENATAL TO THREE INITIATIVE (PTT).

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, one of the goals of San Mateo County is to ensure children grow up healthy in safe and supportive homes and neighborhoods; and

WHEREAS, one in three births in San Mateo County is covered by Medi-Cal; and

WHEREAS, home visits and a comprehensive system of physical and mental health care make a difference in family health choices; and

WHEREAS, the Peninsula Community Foundation has awarded two grants for $15,000 and for $150,000 to the Prenatal to Three Initiative:

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of this Board be, and is hereby authorized to accept funds in the amount of $165,000 from the Peninsula Community Foundation for the Prenatal to Three Initiative.
