______________________________________________________________

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that;

WHEREAS, the voters of the State of California passed Proposition 12, the State Park Bond Act in 2000; and

WHEREAS, the State Department of Parks and Recreation has been delegated the responsibility for the administration of the grant program within the State, setting up necessary procedures governing project applications under the program; and

WHEREAS, said grant procedures require land tenure agreements to ensure that the improvements provide access to public recreation for specified periods of time; and

WHEREAS, the Coyote Point Museum Association is eligible to apply for certain grants from Proposition 12; and

WHEREAS, the term of the current agreement between the County and Coyote Point Museum Association would make the Association ineligible for one of the grants for which it has applied; and

WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with a sixth amendment to said agreement which would extend the term and make other changes;

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED

    1. That the President of the Board of this Board of Supervisors be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to execute said amendment to agreement for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and Clerk of this Board shall attest to his signature thereto.

    2. That the Assistant County Manager is hereby authorized and directed to accept and execute on behalf of the County, any and all notices and documents in connection with this Sixth Amendment to Agreement (Lease No. 5023).
