Vision Alignment |
The contract with MHA keeps the commitment of ensuring basic health and safety for all and goal number 8: Help vulnerable people - the aged, disabled, mentally ill, at-risk youth and others - achieve a better quality of life. It also keeps the commitment of offering a full range of housing choices and goal number 9: Housing exists for people at all income levels and for all generations of families. The contract contributes to these commitments and goals by providing an HIV Housing Assistance Program and improving the quality of life for those living with this disease. |
Fiscal Impact |
The maximum amount of funding for this agreement is $965,808 for a 16-month period, March 1, 2002 through June 30, 2003: $775,143 in HOPWA funds for housing, $109,332 in CARE funds for housing, and $81,333 in CARE funds for Wrap Around. These funds are included in the approved 2001-02 and proposed 2002-03 AIDS Program budget. A maintenance of County effort is required for all CARE funding which amounts to the net County cost for the AIDS Program for 2000-01, i.e., $308,419. |
