RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF ASSEMBLY BILL 1798 (CHAVEZ) PUBLIC RECORDS MILITARY VETERAN DISCHARGE

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, the Assemblyman Chavez has introduced AB 1798 to protect the privacy of veterans who file military service discharge documents with the county recorders office;

WHEREAS, the County of San Mateo is home to many veterans;

WHEREAS, the County is committed to ensure the health and safety of all residents from crime including identity theft;

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors by the adoption of this resolution hereby supports Assembly Bill 1798 (Chavez).
