RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF: 1) SECOND AMENDMENTS TO THE AGREEMENTS WITH ELEVEN ALCOHOL AND DRUG TREATMENT PROVIDERS; AND 2) AGREEMENTS WITH DAYTOP VILLAGE, INC.; FAMILY AND COMMUNITY ENRICHMENT SERVICES, INC.; HORIZON SERVICES, INC.; AND YOUTH AND FAMILY ASSISTANCE FOR THE PROVISION SUBSTANCE ABUSE TREATMENT SERVICES |

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that |
|
WHEREAS, on August 7, 2001, the County of San Mateo entered into fee-for-service agreements with various alcohol and drug treatment providers for the provision of substance abuse treatment for Substance Abuse and Crime Prevention Act (SACPA) probationers and parolees, and individuals eligible for drug court services; and |
|
WHEREAS, on February 26, 2002, the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo executed first amendments to the agreements to amend the fingerprinting language, and to add SB223 substance abuse testing funds and services under SACPA of 2000 to the agreements containing SACPA substance abuse treatment services; and |
|
WHEREAS, further amendments to the existing agreements and four new agreements will provide additional SACPA funding and services for fiscal year 2001-02; and |
|
WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Board of Supervisors for its consideration and acceptance second amendments to the agreements with: 1) Asian American Recovery Services; 2) Avalon Counseling Services; 3) El Centro de Libertad; 4) Free At Last; 5) The Latino Commission on Alcohol and Drug Abuse Services of San Mateo County; 6) Project Ninety, Inc.; 7) Pyramid Alternatives; 8) Service League of San Mateo County; 9) Sitike Counseling Center; 10) Walden House; and 11) The Women's Recovery Association; and |

WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Board for its consideration and acceptance four new agreements with: 1) Daytop Village, Inc.; 2) Family and Community Enrichment Services, Inc.; 3) Horizon Services, Inc.; and 4) Youth and Family Assistance; and |
|
WHEREAS, it is now the mutual desire and intent of the parties hereto to: 1) further amend said eleven agreements to include additional SACPA funding and substance abuse treatment services, and add unexpended drug court funding; and 2) to enter into four new agreements for the provision of SACPA substance abuse treatment services for SACPA probationers and parolees, and SB223 substance abuse testing services under SACPA of 2000, for the period May 1, 2002 through June 30, 2002. |

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of this Board of Supervisors be, and is hereby authorized and directed to execute said agreements and second amendments to the eleven agreements for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President's signature thereto. |
