RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT BETWEEN COUNTY OF SAN MATEO AND JEFFERSON UNION HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT FOR PATHWAYS FOR SUCCESS A PROGRAM FOR IN-SCHOOL YOUTH

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, on October 17, 2000, by Resolution Number 64034, the Board of Supervisors authorized execution of an Agreement with Jefferson Union High School District to provide a Comprehensive Year-Round Employment and Training Related Services program for In-School youth who were eligible for services under the Workforce Investment Act (WIA); and;

WHEREAS, the County of San Mateo and Jefferson Union High School District desire to enter into an Amendment to the Agreement to provide Pathways For Success, a program for youth participants who are eligible under the Workforce Investment Act (WIA); and;

WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Board of Supervisors for it consideration and acceptance an Amendment, reference to which is hereby made for further particulars, whereby services will be provided by Jefferson Union High School District and the amount of the Amendment shall be $332.372 for a total contract obligation of $642,278; and;

WHEREAS, such services will conform to all WIA requirements; and

WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with a form of such amendment and said Board has examined and approved same as to both form and content and desires to enter into the same.

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of the Board of Supervisors be, and is hereby authorized and directed to execute said Amendment for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of the Board shall attest his signature thereto.
