COMMENDING AND HONORING

GERALD C. ARRIGONI

UPON THE OCCASION OF HIS RETIREMENT FROM

BURLINGAME HIGH SCHOOL

WHEREAS, it has come to the attention of the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California that GERALD C. ARRIGONI is retiring as Principal of Burlingame High School; and

WHEREAS, in 1965, GERALD C. ARRIGONI earned a BA degree from San Francisco State University, where he majored in English and minored in Physical Education. In 1967, GERALD C. ARRIGONI transferred to California State University-Hayward where he received his Teaching Credential. In 1973, GERALD C. ARRIGONI returned to San Francisco State University, earning his MA degree with an Emphasis on Reading; and

WHEREAS, in 1976, GERALD C. ARRIGONI received his California State Administrative Credential from San Francisco State University, and in 1982, he earned his Pupil Personnel Credential from the University of San Francisco; and

WHEREAS, as an educator and principal for the past 35 years, GERALD C. ARRIGONI's involvement and participation in many programs, associations and sponsorships have earned him the respect he deserves; and

WHEREAS, GERALD C. ARRIGONI's exemplary conduct and sense of fairness has been demonstrated in all his activities and he has furthered the cause for better education. GERALD has been a great influence for good in the growth and progress of his students. As a teacher, coach, administrator and principal, he, in the spirit of Krista McAuliffe, "Touched the future, he taught!".

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, does hereby join his family, friends and colleagues in honoring GERALD C. ARRIGONI for his years of dedicated service and expresses best wishes for many helathy and happy years ahead..
