RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF SENATE BILL 1768 (FEINSTEIN/BOXER) CALFED BAY-DELTA PROGRAM

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, the Senators Feinstein and Boxer have introduced S. 1768, which approves the CalFed Record of Decision as developed through several public meetings with various interest groups seeking a balanced and reasoned implementation plan for the San Francisco Bay Delta;

WHEREAS, the County of San Mateo, as all San Francisco Bay Area counties, has an interest in ensuring the health of both the environment and economy of the Bay Delta;

WHEREAS, the County is committed to preserve and provide people access to our natural environment; and

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors by the adoption of this resolution hereby supports S. 1768 (Feinstein/Boxer).
