RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING INCREASE IN THE CASH ADVANCE LIMIT FOR THE HOSPITAL AND COMMUITY HEALTH CLINICS ENTERPRISE FUNDS FROM JULY 1, 2001 THROUGH JUNE 30, 2002, INLCUDING ALL YEAR-END CLOSING ACTIVITIES FOR FY 2001-02 AND WAVIER OF INTEREST CHARGE

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

 

WHEREAS, the Hospital and Clinic are in need of cash advance from the General Fund to the Hospital and Community Health Clinics Enterprise funds on an as needed basis up to the amount of $60,000,000; and

 

WHEREAS, this Board approved a temporary increase in cash loan advances to $19,600,000 from the General Fund to these funds without interest through all year-end closing activities from FY 1999-2000; and

 

WHEREAS, this Board approved a temporary increase in cash loan advance from the General Fund to these Enterprise Funds without interest from $19,600,000 to an amount of $30,000,000 for the period through August 1, 2000 through all year-end closing activities for FY 2000-01 including all year-end closing activities; and

 

WHEREAS, this Board approved a temporary increase in cash loan advances to $40,000,000 through FY 2001-02, including all year-end closing activities;

 

WHEREAS, this Board wishes to continue this cash advance without interest, increasing the amount to $60,000,000 through FY 2001-02, including all year-end closing activities;

 

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the Hospital Enterprise Fund and the Community Health Clinics Enterprise Funds shall have authority to access funds from the General Fund on an as needed basis up to $60,000,000 combined without a provision of interest through FY 2001-02 through all year-end closing activities to ensure continued operation of all facilities and the Clerk of the Board shall transmit a copy of this resolution to the Controller for immediate implementation.
