Recommendation |
Adopt a resolution adopting plans and specifications, determining prevailing wage scales, and calling for sealed proposals for the resurfacing of a portion of Skyline Frontage Road and Black Mountain Road. |

Previous Board Action |
Authorized the Director of Public Works to execute agreements with public agencies, utility companies and special districts for utility type work less than $50,000, proposed to be done in conjunction with County road projects. |

Discussion |
The proposed project totaling approximately 1.1 miles in length, consists of the repair of failed pavement areas; installation of a short section of concrete curb and gutter; pavement reinforcing fabric; pavement markings; and resurfacing the roads with asphalt concrete. The areas to be repaired and resurfaced are shown on the attached map. |

The San Mateo County Planning Department has determined that this project is exempt from the requirements for preparation of an EIR under Section 15301 (C) Class 1, of the California Environmental Quality Act and we have filed a Notice of Exemption with the County Clerk. |

Vision Alignment |
We believe our recommendation is consistent with the Shared Commitment to "ensure basic health and safety for all" and Goal Number 7, "maintain and enhance public safety of all residents and visitors," as it will improve the conditions of the road surface for the benefit of the public. |

The total estimated cost of construction is $355,000 and is proposed to be financed as follows: |
