BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA

RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SHERIFF'S OFFICE TO APPLY FOR THE 2002 LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDS AND ALLOW THE COUNTY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A WRITTEN CONTRACT WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE IN THE AMOUNT OF $16,855.

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

 

WHEREAS, in 2002, Congress approved the Local Law Enforcement Program (LLEBG) which entitles each criminal justice agency to a specified amount of funding and;

 

WHEREAS, the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office has been identified to receive $16,855 with a required $1,873 match. The Sheriff's Office has demonstrated its ability to meet the required match of $1,873.

 

WHEREAS, it is required under Department of Justice guidelines that the County Manager shall be the Authorized Grantee Official designated to sign all related award documents, contracts, amendments, or extensions;

 

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED

that the County of San Mateo Board of Supervisors by adoption of this resolution hereby agrees to the terms and conditions set forth in the grant proposal and authorizes the San Mateo County Manager as agent of the County of San Mateo to execute and submit all documents, including but not limited to application, agreements, amendments, payment requests and so on, which may be necessary for the completion of the aforementioned project.
