EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: Consideration of a request to establish a Class B Agricultural Preserve for a 47.15-acre parcel located at 2500 Lobitos Creek Road in the unincorporated San Gregorio area of San Mateo County.

RECOMMENDATION

That the Board of Supervisors:

1.

Find that the request is consistent with the County General Plan, the Planned Agricultural/Coastal Development Zoning District, the California Land Conservation Act, and Board of Supervisors Resolution No. 44396, relating to the implementation of the California Land Conservation Act in San Mateo County.

2.

Adopt a resolution to establish the subject property as an agricultural preserve and authorize execution of a California Land Conservation Contract regarding the subject property.

PROPOSAL

The applicant is requesting the approval of a Class B Agricultural Preserve for a 47.15-acre parcel in the Planned Agricultural/Coastal Development Zoning District.

PLANNING COMMISSION ACTION

On June 25, 2002, the Planning Commission recommended unanimously to the Board of Supervisors, the establishment of Class B Agricultural Preserve for the subject parcel.

SUMMARY

The Planning Commission and staff have reviewed the applicant's application and are of the opinion that the request is in conformance with the General Plan and Agricultural Preserve requirements. The Planning Commission recommends the establishment of the requested Class B Agricultural Preserve.
