RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN OPERATING AGREEMENT

BETWEEN THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO AND MARIN DAY SCHOOLS

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, Marin Day Schools has successfully operated the San Mateo County Child Care Center, Our Place, since July 1, 1993; and

WHEREAS, the County conducted a competitive Request for Proposal process and recommends the continuation of child care management services by Marin Day Schools; and

WHEREAS, the County has renegotiated a new agreement with Marin Day Schools which will begin on September 1, 2002 through August 31, 2005 with the option by the County to continue the contract for a two year period; and

WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with a form of the agreement and has examined and approved it as to both form and content and desires to enter into the agreement.

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of the Board of Supervisors is authorized and directed to execute an agreement with Marin Day Schools for the operation of the County's child care facility located at 403 Winslow Street in Redwood City and the Clerk of this Board shall attest his signature thereto.
