RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A FIRST AMENDMENT TO RESIDENTIAL RENTAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO AND JEROME W. AND KAREN MERTENS FOR THE LEASE OF THE SHERIFF'S COMMUTER HOUSE AT 731 VALOTA ROAD, REDWOOD CITY, CALIFORNIA (LEASE NO. 1232)

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, on September 11, 2001 the County of San Mateo and Jerome W. and Karen Mertens entered into a Residential Rental Agreement, for the property located at 731 Valota Road, Redwood City, California; and

WHEREAS, the parties now wish to amend that agreement; and

WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with a form of such First Amendment To Residential Rental Agreement and said Board having examined and approved the First Amendment To Residential Rental Agreement as to both form and content, desire to enter into the First Amendment To Residential Rental Agreement.

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED

1. That the President of this Board of Supervisors be, and is hereby, authorized and directed to execute the First Amendment To Residential Rental Agreement for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President's signature thereto.

2. That the Assistant County Manager is hereby authorized to accept or execute on behalf of the County, any and all renewal options, notices and documents in connection with this First Amendment To Residential Rental Agreement.
