RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CONTROLLER TO CONTINUE PAYMENTS ON HUMAN SERVICES AGENCY, ALCOHOL AND DRUG SERVICES CONTRACTS FROM OCTOBER 1, 2002 THROUGH DECEMBER 31, 2002

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, the Agreements listed in Attachment A, attached hereto and incorporated by reference herein, expired on June 30, 2002 and renewal Agreements had not been completed; and

WHEREAS, on June 4, 2002, the Board of Supervisors adopted a Resolution authorizing the Controller to make payments to these contractors for alcohol and drug treatment services through September 30, 2002; and

WHEREAS, the renewal contracts will not yet be completed when the authorizing Resolution expires; and

WHEREAS, this Board wishes to continue payments to the contractors listed in Attachment A for alcohol and drug treatment services:

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors authorizes the Controller to continue payments on said Agreements through December 31, 2002, for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, subject to the Contractor's continued compliance with all terms and conditions of its most recent agreement with the County, with the exception of the maximum amount payable. Said payments are to be made at the rates authorized by the Director of the Human Services Agency, as set forth in the Agreements.
