RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO ("SSF") TO FUND AN AFFORDABLE HOUSING DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM WITH HOME PROGRAM FUNDS AND AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF THE HUMAN SERVICES AGENCY TO EXECUTE SUBSEQUENT AMENDMENTS AND MINOR MODIFICATIONS NOT TO EXCEED $25,000 PER FUNDING SOURCE

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

 

WHEREAS, County and SSF entered into an Agreement dated May 14, 2002, Board of Supervisors Resolution No. 65256 to provide HOME Program funds to the City of South San Francisco to fund an Affordable Housing Development Program targeted at Acquisition and Rehabilitation of property in the Willow Gardens neighborhood; and

 

WHEREAS, SSF applied for additional funding assistance to expand the program area to include the downtown corridor; and

 

WHEREAS, on June 4, 2002, this Board approved the HOME Program funding for FY 2002-03, which included $400,000 in additional funding for this expansion of the project to include the downtown corridor; and

 

WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Board of Supervisors for its consideration and acceptance, an Agreement between the County of San Mateo and the City of South San Francisco, reference to which is hereby made for further particulars, and the Board of Supervisors has examined and approved the same as to form and content and desires to enter into the same.

 

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of this Board of Supervisors be, and is hereby authorized and directed to execute said Agreement for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President's signature thereto.

 

IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Director of the Human Services Agency shall be authorized to execute subsequent amendments and modifications to this Agreement during the term of the Agreement, provided however, that such authority is limited to (a) reducing or increasing the County's maximum fiscal obligation in the event that there is a commensurate reduction or increase in funding received by the County, provided, however, that such increases shall be limited to a total of $25,000 per funding source; and (b) making changes in the types of services and activities provided by Contractor, provided that the changes have no impact on the County's maximum fiscal obligation to the Contractor.
