RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF PROPOSITION 50 RELATING TO THE WATER SECURITY, CLEAN DRINKING WATER, COASTAL AND BEACH PROTECTION ACT OF 2002

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, the County of San Mateo has over 50 miles of coast along the Pacific Ocean and an extensive front along the San Francisco Bay;

WHEREAS, Proposition 50 would provide over $3 billion in bond funds for the a variety of water and wetlands projects;

WHEREAS, over half of the Proposition 50 funds would be directed at the CALFED Bay Delta and the Coastal Protection programs;

WHEREAS, the County has a commitment to ADD LANGUAGE HERE; and

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors by the adoption of this resolution hereby supports Proposition 50 and urges its passage by the voters of California.
