RESOLUTION COMMITING TO PROVIDE MATCHING FUNDS OF UP TO
$2.7 MILLION A YEAR FOR FIVE YEARS TO SUPPORT THE HEALTHY KIDS PROJECT AND ACCEPTING A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING SIGNED BY THE CHILDREN'S HEALTH INITIATIVE COALITION

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Board of Supervisors for its consideration the Healthy Kids Project;

WHEREAS, the Board has committed matching funds of $2.7 million a year for five years, as approved in the budget for 2002-03;

WHEREAS, the Board has approved the Children's Health Initiative Coalition as the oversight entity and accepts the Memorandum of Understanding from this group, outlining the commitment of the members of this project.

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the Board of Supervisors commits to matching funds of up to $2.7 million per year for five years to support the Healthy Kids Project and accepts the Memorandum of Understanding from the Children's Health Initiative Coalition for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo.
