RESOLUTION APPROVING AN EQUITY ADJUSTMENT FOR THE CLASSIFICATION OF CORONER'S INVESTIGATOR

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, , in June 2000, the Board of Supervisors, by resolution, approved a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Law Enforcement Unit; and

WHEREAS, in that MOU, the County agreed to review salary rates for the classification of Coroner's Investigator in June 2002, to determine if a salary equity adjustment was warranted based on that review; and

WHEREAS, said review has found that employees in the classification of Coroner's Investigator are behind the relevant labor market by 1.8% for similar work; and

WHEREAS, the employee organization representing the employees in the classification of Coroner's Investigator has concurred in the proposed change;

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that this Board of Supervisors hereby approves an equity adjustment of 1.8% for the classification of Coroner's Investigator with an effective date of September 29, 2002.
