Resolution Rejecting Bids for the Coyote Point Marina 2002 Maintenance Dredging Project | |
RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that | |
WHEREAS, this Board of Supervisors did, on September 10, 2002, adopt Resolution No. 065548, which Resolution adopted plans and specifications, determined the prevailing wage scales and called for sealed proposals for the Coyote Point Marina 2002 Maintenance Dredging Project; and | |
WHEREAS, the Clerk of this Board of Supervisors did, in public on September 27, 2002, at 2:00 p.m., open and examine all sealed proposals that were received in the specified time for the doing of the work referred to in said Resolution No. 065548; and | |
WHEREAS, only one bid was received from Dutra Dredging Company, which was sixty-seven percent (67%) over the engineer's estimate; and | |
WHEREAS, Section 22038 of the Public Contract Code provides that a public agency may reject any and all bids received for a project at its discretion; and | |
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works has recommended that the one bid received for the work as described above be rejected, and this Board has considered the recommendation of the Director of Public Works. | |
NOW THEREFORE IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED as follows: | |

The one bid received from Dutra Dredging Company on September 27, 2002, for the Coyote Point Marina 2002 Maintenance Dredging Project is rejected pursuant to Section 22038 of the State of Californian Public Contract Code. |
2. |
The Director of Public Works is hereby authorized to revise the plans and specifications and other contract and advertising documents as may be necessary, in order to be ready to call for bids for said project in the 2003 dredging season. |
