RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ASSISTANT COUNTY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH ENGINEERING ECONOMICS, INC. FOR BUILDING COMMISSIONING SERVICES FOR THE DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF THE SAN MATEO COUNTY YOUTH SERVICES CENTER

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, San Mateo County is committed to the Sustainable Building Policy as adopted by the Board of Supervisors and;

WHEREAS, On October 17, 2002 the County received proposals from 5 firms to perform Commissioning services for the proposed Youth Services Center project and;

WHEREAS, the selected proposer, Engineering Economics, Inc. has the requisite experience and offers the County the most cost-effective proposal;

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the Assistant County Manager is hereby authorized to execute an Agreement with Engineering Economics, Inc., to act as County's Principal Commissioning Authority and perform LEED Certification Fundamental Building Systems commissioning for the proposed Youth Services Center design and construction.
