RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CHIEF ELECTIONS OFFICER TO RENDER SPECIFIED ELECTION SERVICES FOR THE CITY OF BELMONT IN CONJUNCTION WITH A SPECIAL ELECTION TO BE HELD ON
TUESDAY, JUNE 3, 2003

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, pursuant to State Law, the City Council of the City of Belmont adopted Resolution Nos. 9338 and 9339 giving notice of holding a Special Election on Tuesday, June 3, 2003, to fill the vacancy in the office of City Council and requesting the Board of Supervisors to render specified services to the City relating to the conduct of the Special Election; and

WHEREAS, the Chief Elections Officer has been asked to perform certain services in conjunction with this Election; and

WHEREAS, the Chief Elections Officer is agreeable to providing election services to the City of Belmont; and

WHEREAS, in consideration of services and supplies provided by the Chief Elections Officer, the City of Belmont will reimburse the County for the costs of these services and supplies.

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of this Board of Supervisors authorizes the Chief Elections Officer to render specified election services for the June 3, 2003 Special Election.
