RESOLUTION WAIVING THE REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL PROCESS AND

AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY PURCHASING AGENT TO ISSUE

PURCHASE ORDERS TO DELL COMPUTER CORPORATION AND

TO FILENET CORPORATION FOR COMPUTER HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Board of Supervisors for its consideration and approval a request to waive the Request for Proposal process and to authorize the County Purchasing Agent to issue a purchase order in the amount of $266,568, for the purchase of computer hardware from Dell Computer Corporation, and a purchase order in the amount of $149,491, for the purchase of computer software from FileNET Corporation; and;

WHEREAS, the Board has determined that the best interests of the County would be served without the necessity of the request for proposal process; and;

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED that (1) the request for proposal process is hereby waived; and (2) the County Purchasing Agent is hereby authorized to issue the two purchase orders on a sole source basis.
