RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF ADDITIONAL GRANT MONIES IN THE AMOUNT OF $900,000 FROM THE GOVERNOR'S 25% DISCRETIONARY FUND

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, on September 24, 2002, the Board of Supervisors adopted Resolution number 65583 accepting $2,538,390 from the Governor's 25% Discretionary Fund on behalf of the Workforce Investment Board for the purpose of providing employment and training services to dislocated workers; and

WHEREAS, an additional $900,000 from the Governor's 25% Discretionary Fund has been awarded to the Workforce Investment Board for extending employment and training services to dislocated workers; and

WHEREAS, this Board desires to accept the additional grant award.

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of this Board of Supervisors is hereby authorized and directed to accept said grant for and behalf of the County of San Mateo.
