RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF THE ELEVENTH AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT WITH CALIFORNIA CHECK CASHING STORES

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, on December 17, 1991, the County of San Mateo and Monetary Management Corp. entered into an Agreement for the issuance of Food Stamps, which the Agreement has been amended on ten previous occasions, including extension of the contract term, increase of the "per transaction fee," corresponding increases in the Agreement's maximum obligation and assignment to different businesses, most recently California Check Cashing Stores, Inc.; and

WHEREAS, both parties wish to further amend the Agreement to extend the term of the Agreement to June 30, 2003 for the purpose of providing continuing Food Stamp services until Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) can be implemented; and

WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with a form of such Amendment to the Agreement and said Board having examined and approved the Amendment as to form and content, and desires to enter into the same.

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED the President of this Board of Supervisors be, and is hereby, authorized and directed to execute the Eleventh Amendment to the Agreement for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest his signature thereto.
