Recommendation
Deny the claims listed below.

 

Background
Under authority of Resolution No. 35006 and Ordinance No. 2321, the Board directed the Director to process claims filed against the County. Further investigation may indicate Justification for payment by the County. If so, payment will be made under the authority of the Risk Manager or will be brought back to the Board.

Claimant alleges the Public Works Department of the City of San Mateo refused to remove an illegal structure adjacent to her property at 444 Fathom Drive in San Mateo resulting in privacy loss, security loss, property damage, mental and physical anguish, and subjection to violence and harassment.

Claimant alleges a correctional officer caused him to spill hot water on his arm and shirt, painfully burning him and ruining his legal paperwork and copies.
