Resolution Authorizing the Director of Public Works to Execute an Agreement with the California Department of Fish and Game for Fishery Restoration Grant Funding - Fish Passage Barriers Assessment

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works applied for a Fishery Restoration Grant from the California Department of Fish and Game (CDFG), which will help finance the assessment of culverts that carry fish bearing streams under County roads as possible barriers to the passage of fish; and

WHEREAS, CDFG has approved the proposal submitted by the Department of Public Works, which will reimburse the County up to $45,190 in expenditures to conduct said assessment; and

WHEREAS, CDFG requires that an agreement be entered into by and between CDFG and the recipient of Fishery Restoration Grants before grant funds can be made available; and

WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works has recommended that the Director be authorized to execute said agreement and this Board has considered the Director's recommendation:

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED THAT the Director of Public Works is authorized to execute a Fishery Restoration Grant Agreement with the State of California for the purpose of receiving Fishery Restoration Grants funds.
