BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA

RESOLUTION DECLARING UNCLAIMED MONIES, IN THE COUNTY TREASURY, PROPERTY OF THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO AND TRANSFERRING SAID UNCLAIMED MONIES TO THE COUNTY TREASURER AND PUBLIC ADMINISTRATOR

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, there is currently on deposit with the County Treasurer of the County of San Mateo in a fund entitled, "Unknown Heirs", the total sum of $5,543.96, which has remained unclaimed in the County Treasury, of the County of San Mateo, for more than three years and which sums were received from the Public Administrator's Office; and

WHEREAS, the County Treasurer has caused appropriate notice to be published in the form and manner provided by 50050 and 50051 of the Government Code in the San Mateo County Times, a newspaper of general circulation published in the County of San Mateo, as appears from the affidavit of publication on file with the Clerk of this Board as set forth in Exhibit "A" attached hereto; and

WHEREAS, there were no claims on said monies and after the exercise of due diligence, it is necessary and desirable to provide for the escheat of said monies to the County of San Mateo pursuant to 50050 et seq. of the Government Code; and

WHEREAS, the unclaimed monies in the amount of $5,543.96, have become the property of the County of San Mateo, and this Board of Supervisors desires to transfer said monies from the special fund in which it has been deposited to the County Treasurer and Public Administrator, to be shared equally as unanticipated revenue as set forth in Exhibit "B" attached hereto;

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED:

(1) That the unclaimed monies totaling $5,543.96 on deposit with the County Treasurer of the County of San Mateo described in Exhibit "A", attached hereto, shall be and hereby are declared to be the property of the County of San Mateo;

(2) That the County Treasurer and Public Administrator shall equally share the unclaimed fund totaling $5,543.96, as unanticipated revenue as described in Exhibit "B", attached hereto;

(3) That the Clerk of this Board is hereby authorized and directed to send a certified copy to the County Treasurer set forth in Exhibit "A".
