Resolution Determining that the Speed Control Devices Installed on Hillside Drive and Blenheim Avenue Shall Remain in Place
(Project No. RU001 – F393 [1], F393 [1A], F393 [1B])

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

 

WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works (Department) installed “test” speed control devices on Hillside Drive in the Burlingame Hills Area and Blenheim Avenue in the North Fair Oaks Area as directed by this Board; and

 

WHEREAS, the Department conducted property owner and resident surveys on both Hillside Drive and Blenheim Avenue to determine whether the property owners and residents believed that the devices were effective in reducing the speed of vehicles, and if the devices should remain in place or be removed; and

 

WHEREAS, the survey results indicate that property owners and residents believe the devices have been effective and that the devices should remain in place; and

 

WHEREAS, this Board has reviewed and considered the results of said surveys.

 

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the speed control devices that were installed on Hillside Drive in the Burlingame Hills Area and Blenheim Avenue in the North Fair Oaks Area shall remain in place until such time as their removal is recommended by the Director of Public Works or the Captain of the Redwood City office of the California Highway Patrol.
